How to Spot an Authentic Le Pliage Bag:

 It comes with a care card.



Check out the German phrase. It says: SYNTHETIK RINDSPALTLEDERBESATZ. No such German word.

This is how the authentic care card look like. On a care card from an authentic Le Pliage, it says: SYNTHETIK RINDLEDERBESATZ.


 This is FAKE LOGO. Can you see a line under the logo?

The leather on the handles should be soft, smooth, and flexible. Not stiff and rough. Cowhide leather colors vary, as well as the markings on the leather. Genuine cowhide leather comes from genuine cows. Inasmuch as no two cows are the same, so no two leathers are alike.

Authentic bags have their snaps reinforced with clear plastic discs that extend beyond snaps on the inside of the bag. 



The zippers are made by YKK. This is one of the unmistakable signs that your Le Pliage is authentic. 
Can be silver plate, gold plate or blue (depend on which model)

Zip buckle is Longchamp 1948 with horse logo.

On the back part of the flap, the words "MODELE DEPOSE" are engraved on the leather.

NO TWO LEATHERS ARE ALIKE. You should only remember four things in identifying real leather on Le Pliage bags: tan brown, soft, flexible, smooth.

The Cowhide leather handles. Genuine cowhide leather comes from genuine cows. Inasmuch as no two cows are the same, so no two leathers are alike.

It should have a tag inside. Authentic longchamps are either MADE IN FRANCE or MADE IN CHINA. The series of numbers on the fifth line is the style number. There is also a care instruction on the last line.






p/s: I don't have an advance camera nor a DSLR camera. My photography skill is too bad. But sincerely hope this info may help all longchamp fans!!! BEWARE OF FAKE ITEM!
